Let's be clear. I was born and raised in Siberia, Russia. I also really like fruit.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
I'm an entrepreneur currently in the early stages of launching a startup. Specifically, I am looking for a technical partner for a consumer web company, which is the reason for this blog. To get in touch with me email me at deenavar-at-gmail-dot-com.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME:
I moved to the US with half of my family when I was 16, went to Cornell University, left 2 classes short of graduation, worked in video production and post-production and in casting a project was appalled with the inefficiency of the casting process. I thought I knew the solution - create an online video directory of actors, so that people could preview an actor on video before proceeding with a more in-depth casting process. That's how ReelACT.com was born. ReelACT was my first startup. It was an amazing experience. I was obsessed and it was strangely liberating - for the first time in my life I didn't have to wonder what I should be doing at any given moment. It was very simple; I should be working on ReelACT. That's the part I miss the most.
At ReelACT I had two other partners and although things were off to a good start, after about a year and a half we found ourselves in disagreement about our roles and had to go our separate ways. That's when I moved to Los Angeles.
Currently, I work as a Lead Information Architect/User Experience Designer on a contract basis. I love information architecture - with all the Web 2.0 interactivity it's a very exciting field.
Back to the beginning, I am passionate about developing my next venture and am looking for my very own brilliant web engineer.
